Meet Sophie, the visionary behind Good Grazd
Hi there! I’m Sophie, the heart and hands behind Good Grazd. Many people often ask me, “How do you do it all?”Balancing my love for food and hosting with a busy family life of being a twin mum of toddlers plus working a full time job can be challenging, but is a passion that drives me. In 2020, I decided to turn that passion into a little side business. It felt like the perfect time for a new adventure, especially in a year that challenged us all to rethink what truly fills our hearts.
Growing up, I was that friend who loved to organise gatherings—pouring my creativity into designing beautiful platters and serving delicious food for family and friends. Those moments of joy brought me immense fulfillment, and I always knew I wanted to share that happiness with others.

However, life has its twists and turns! A few years after launching Good Grazd, I moved to Brisbane for my full-time job. This big change meant putting Good Grazd on hold. Shortly after, my fiancé and I were blessed with twin boys, which filled my life with so much joy yet also kept me incredibly busy! After moving back to my home town Canberra it was during my maternity leave, I found myself missing the creative outlet that Good Grazd provided. Becoming a mother changes your life and as all mothers do I started questioning my identity, what fills my cup and passions. It reignited a spark in me that I couldn’t ignore and truly missed, so I knew I had to bring it back.
Fast forward to 2025 here we are!
Home Grown & Local Produce
As part of this journey, my family and I have been growing a lot of our own produce at home—fresh fruits and veggies that bring an extra layer of love to our platters. I truly enjoy showing my little boys what it’s like to grow your own food. It’s a wonderful learning experience for them, watching how seeds transform into the colorful ingredients we use. This hands-on approach is what makes Good Grazd stand out; it’s all about those little extra details, high-quality homegrown goodness, and supporting local.

The heart & soul; family & friends
I take great pride in sourcing the best local ingredients and designing platters that are not only delicious but also visually captivating. I want to take a moment to acknowledge that having a business, especially in today’s world, is something I couldn’t do alone. Good Grazd is truly a family business, supported by my loved ones. I am incredibly grateful for the huge impact that my friends and family have had on this journey.
With so many ideas and plans for Good Grazd, I often find myself wishing for just a bit more time in the day! Watch this space, as I’m beyond excited about what we can bring to Canberra in the coming years. We’ve accomplished so much already, and I can’t wait to see how we’ll grow!
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
